  • Founded Tyler's Kids Outreach with his wife, Liz, to enrich the lives of children through family, faith and personal growth. Held kids' football clinics at Redskins Park and meet and greets at Ashburn's INOVA Hospital as part of the organization's efforts in 2013.
  • Outside of his foundation work, used the 2013 season to participate in the Fuel Up To Play 60 Football Clinic, and volunteered at the All-Star Survivors Celebration for women battling breast cancer.
  • Attended Cherry Creek High School (Englewood, Colo.)
  • Earned SuperPrep All-America honors and first-team all-state recognition from The Denver Post as a senior.
  • Did not allow a sack as a senior after allowing only one as a junior.
