• Had six tackles and forced a fumble by Saints TE Jeremy Shockey, which was recovered by S Chris Horton and led to K Shaun Suisham’s 22-yard field goal in the first quarter against New Orleans (9/14).

• Had a season-high 12 tackles, one forced fumble and 0.5 sacks against Arizona (9/21).
• Forced Arizona RB Edgerrin James’ fumble on the last play of the first quarter which was recovered by CB Carlos Rogers and set up a Shaun Suisham 48-yard field goal against the Cardinals.
• Had eight tackles, two passes defensed and first career interception, which was deflected by Carlos Rogers, vs. Dallas (11/16).

2007 (Redskins)

• Started 13 games and registered a then-career highs in tackles (105).  Also had career highs in solo tackles (70), sacks (3), forced fumbles (3) and fumble recoveries (1).
• Recorded first career sack against Miami (9/9) when he took down quarterback Trent Green for a six-yard loss.
• Finished second on the team to London Fletcher with 115 tackles (70 solo).
• Sustained a season-ending knee injury (ACL and MCL tear) in the first quarter at the New York Giants (12/16).
• Placed on injured reserve on December 19.
• Missed the final two regular season games (at Minnesota, 12/23 and vs. Dallas, 12/30) and one postseason contest at (Seattle, 1/5).

2006 (Redskins)

• Appeared in 16 games with two starts.
• Totaled 23 tackles (17 solo) and 25 special teams tackles.
• First professional start came at St. Louis (12/24).
• Recorded double digit tackles in his only two starts of the season at St. Louis (12/24) 10 tackles (nine solo) and vs. New York Giants (12/30) 10 tackles (seven solo).

College

• Earned All-ACC honorable mention as a senior.
• Started 11 games as a senior and led the Hurricanes in tackles with 89 (50 solo), also compiled 5.5 sacks for minus 45 yards and 10 tackles for a loss.
• Played in 10 games with nine starts as a junior - six at strong-side linebacker and three at middle linebacker.
• Ranked second on the team with a career-high 111 tackles (37 solo), 13 tackles for loss, eight quarterback pressures, four sacks, one forced fumble and three passes defensed.
• Voted honorable mention All-ACC and was selected as the Hurricanes Linebacker of the Year.
• Played in 12 games tallying 23 tackles (16 solo) as a sophomore.
• Started six games at strong-side linebacker, including the final four games, as a freshman.
• Recorded 43 tackles (24 solo), eight tackles for losses, one forced fumble and two passes defensed.
• Redshirted in 2001.

Personal

• Attended Gaffney High School in Gaffney, S.C.
• Was one of the top linebackers in the nation earning SuperPrep All-American honors.
• Named to the South Carolina Shrine Bowl team.
• Married to Alessia and the couple has a son, Gavin Elijah McIntosh.
• Enrolled in a workshop at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 - an NFL program that helps assist players in preparing for their post-playing careers.
• Was the Redskins nominee for the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2007.
• Active in Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation events during the 2009 season: encouraged physical activity during “1^st Down for Fitness,” and the “What Moves U Challenge”; read to local students to promote literacy as part of the Redskins Read program; distributed Thanksgiving food and turkeys to local families at Redskins Harvest Feast; took local underprivileged children Christmas shopping at Holiday Wishes Come True; handed out coats to needy children as part of Randle El Warms Up Washington’s Youth, and participated in Skins Santa Shoppe.
• Took part in the Carter Fitness Boot Camp, hosted by Andre and Bethany Carter, which launched a long-term program with a group of local students geared at teaching them how to eat healthy and be physically active.
• Spent time with wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
• Participated in several Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation Events in 2008, including the Redskins Read: Sean Taylor Memorial Foundation, where the Charitable Foundation and Ernst & Young made a $15,000 donation to the family library at the Children’s National Medical Center in memory and celebration of the life of Sean Taylor.
• Has degrees in criminology and English.

• Attended the Wizards Care 2^nd Annual Ballers Bowl benefiting the Capital Area Foodbank in 2009.
• Hosted Rocky McIntosh Charity Golf Tournament in May 2009 to benefit Loudoun Citizens for Social Justice.
