--One writer reports that Redskins general manager Bruce Allen said the team will be “active in free agency” this coming season. The Redskins have finally been relieved of the 36 million dollar cap penalties they had the past two seasons and reportedly have around 30 million in salary cap room this year.

--With the Senior Bowl underway, one insider finds out from defensive coordinator Jim Haslett why this year’s class is special and how many great players can be found in the late rounds of the NFL draft.

--Notre Dame has hired former Redskins quarterback coach Matt LaFleur to coach at the same position. LaFleur was relieved of his duties on December 30 along with Mike Shanahan.

--A reporter catches up with former Redskin and current Arizona Cardinal Lorenzo Alexander about what life is like now that he is playing for a different team, and how tough it was to make the transition.

--Breaking down the next steps for head coach Jay Gruden after he puts together his staff and gets the playbook finalized.

--According to reports, it is likely that former Redskins quarterback Doug Williams will be joining the front office of the Washington Redskins. Williams has been out of work since being fired by Grambling State in September.

--On Thursday afternoon, a judge sentenced Eric Rivera to over 57 years in prison for the murder of Redskins safety Sean Taylor. Taylor was killed back in November of 2007 in Miami, Fl.
