Inaugural Elite Halftime Dance Performance

Posted Jan 6, 2014

Sisters Jordyn & Jalynn tell us about their experience in the Inaugural Elite Dance Performance

Jordyn:  Being a Cheerleader Ambassador for the Redskins, we don't usually have the opportunity to go out onto the field, since we're working in the suites and interacting with fans! So when I first heard about the Inaugural Elite Show, I knew it was something I had to do!  I talked my little sister into coming along with me because I knew how great of an opportunity this was and thought it would be something fun for us to experience together!  At auditions, Maigan and Charo taught us a dance to Royals by Lorde, I love that whenever my sister and I hear the song at home, we still do the routine! Performing at the game is something I will always remember!  There is no better feeling than performing on the Redskins field in front of so many fans and alongside such talented dancers. Participating in the Inaugural Elite Show was a personal reminder of why I'd like to one day be a First Lady of Football. I'd definitely recommend to any girl who loves to dance to audition next year for Redskins Elite!!

Jalynn:  My sister wouldn't leave me alone about participating in the Redskins Elite performance.  I was a little anxious about auditioning because it has been a few years since I took a dance class.  When I first walked into the cheerleader studio, I was excited to see some familiar faces from when Jordyn and I were Jr. Redskins All Stars in 2007. I wasn't expecting to have as much fun as I did while learning the chorography for the performance. The night before the game, I practiced the routine probably over a hundred times.  I was so nervous, but as soon as the music started playing I was ready to go! Coming off the field I was so proud of myself.  It's a feeling I will never forget and hope to participate in the Inaugural Elite Show next year as well!
